How to set up mylar bag artwork.
Mylar bag artwork is laid out on a dieline: a flat drawing of the bag with every cut, fold and seal, drawn to your exact size. Put your backgrounds 3 mm past the cut lines, keep words 3 mm inside them and off the seals, and use 300 DPI art.

Order custom mylar bags online: any size from 500 bags, $535.34 delivered for 500 4″ × 6″ stand-up pouches, your art placed on your dieline and an instant 3D proof.

Get your dieline
On the order page, enter your style and size and press Layered dieline. For $5, paid securely through Stripe, you download a layered PDF and SVG drawn to that exact size: the cut line, the seals and zipper, the folds, the bleed and the safe area, with every panel named. We email you a link to download it again any time. Or skip the template: upload your art on the order page and place it on your dieline right there.
Front, back and gusset
A stand-up pouch has a front panel, a back panel and a bottom gusset; a flat-bottom pouch adds two side gussets. Each panel is its own printable face. On the order page you place your art on each panel, so the front can be your label and the back your details.
White ink on metallic, kraft and clear film
On metallized, foil, kraft, holographic and clear films, colors print over the film itself, so they look darker or show the film through. A white ink layer under your colors makes them read the way they look on screen. We build that white layer for you and email a one-page white-ink proof within one business day; recyclable mono-PE film is already white and needs none.
Check it before you pay
Upload your art on the order page and it opens on your dieline. Drag and resize it on each panel, see the bag in 3D, and approve it: that approval is your proof. The page shows the DPI of every image at the size you placed it, and our prepress team checks every approved file before it prints.
Frequently asked questions
What is a mylar bag dieline?
A dieline is a flat drawing of the bag at its exact size, showing every cut, fold, seal and the zipper, plus bleed and safe-area guides. You design your artwork on it so everything lands in the right place.
How much bleed does a mylar bag need?
3 mm past every cut line. Keep text and logos at least 3 mm inside the cut lines and off the heat seals.
What resolution should mylar bag artwork be?
300 DPI at the printed size, or vector art such as AI, PDF or SVG, which stays sharp at any size.
Do mylar bags need white ink?
On metallized, foil, kraft, holographic and clear films, a white ink layer under your colors keeps them true. We build it for you and email a white-ink proof within one business day.
